I want to thank Superbob for taking the wheel for a spell it gave me a break when most needed ... Although I have not been very active in my postings I have been keeping up and many of you and your families have been in my prayers ...

As stated in the previous thread, concentrating on weight loss goals sometimes needs to take a back seat... I have had a few issues which seem to have passed ... we all do....

Weight wise I seem to in a downward trend ... cutting back a bit and cutting out most sweets and fried foods seem to be helping ... I have just decided it's time ... I have been playing around with my weight loss for too long and it has become an issue which is effecting my health ...

Feeling better and having more energy is worth the commitment for this Chimp... Payers and well wishes to all:thumbup:

2014 Starting weight: 231
This week: 226

As promised, Cheerleader Duffey is here!:tongue2:

Cooker: s-u-cc-e-s-s! That's the way, that's the way, you spell success! or . . . . 2-4-6-8, who do we appreciate? THROWDOWNERS, THROWDOWNERS, THROWDOWNERS! :biggrin2::smile2::thumbup:

Good going Cooker!

I hope I lose something this week. If I don't I'm going to cry too much, but I really really don't want to be on a general upward trend. Hershey's kisses may have to be banned from my kitchen (and all of the other rooms).

Duffey and SB, I understand where you are at and totally understand. However long of a break you take, you can still hang around and encourage us, make fun of us, kick us in the butt, etc.

I sure do hope DW of SB is getting better. I sure do hope the grandsons of Duffey are getting better.

I weighed in today and actually lost 4.8 lbs in March! I was able to stay on track with tracking and exercise despite lots of stress in March (MIL had heart attack, husband broke foot, tons of overtime and deadlines at work, school issues for kid . . . . ) which is very new for me. Turns out, healthy eating and exercise actually address stress better than Oreos and chips. I was much more balanced than I would normally be.

I'm sure I will be trying out the "eat the world" stress solution a couple more times - just to see if it works, you know - but I hope, HOPE this is a corner that can stick. Sending positive energy to everyone to get through tough times. Keep coming back at it and you will keep improving.

From a newbie mbeard, to :cooker, superBob, Duffey, wise , Steve, dornole, I am thinking about all of you. Thank you for the throwdown thread, (Pellicle thank you too.).

Please don't NOT start this thread every week.

Just a quick note before I head out to work. Last week I gained 3.8 because I weighed on a different day, later in the day. This week I weighed on Friday instead of Saturday, my normal day, and I lost 3 lbs. So, that's sort of a wash. I am at 176 lbs today, still up over 3 lbs from my recent lowest. NCAA game tonight between Kentucky and Louisville will induce the eating of lettuce on my part; that's a promise, hehe.

Okay, Superbob has backslid in recent weeks. He confesses. The Man of Steel should be instead the Man of Jell-O.
Superbob wishes hereby to forfeit his Saint Paddy's Day title -- doesn't deserve it. We should take another look at the data and award it to another Throwdowner.

No excuses, but Superbob is going to reset using his Jan 1 weight.

Starting weight for 2014: 263

This morning's weight: 260.1

Net for year: down 2.9 pounds.

Okay despite gaining a few in recent weeks, SB still has progress for the year. He finds it ever so tough to stay in the 250s which he hasn't seen (except for a few weeks recently) for maybe 25 years. Back to the effort; not sure that Weight Watchers is still helping, but guess I will stick with it a little longer.

What really depressed me was stepping on the Cardio's scales the other day -- I am sure that those scales are out of whack. The nurse said that no way would she step on them herself. Still it was depressing, even though the Cardio said my echocardiogram results were "great" ....

Okay, ate salmon last night….good restart. Now to try to make good choices daily.

P.S. Congrats to the Kentucky Flash for the Wildcats' victory over Louisville last night (though I sure wish their nickname wasn't Cardinals!) … tough night for SB watching Tennessee fall just short with their comeback against Michigan, and then Virginia losing a real battle with Michigan State. Michigan is not my favorite state this morning -- but then when was it ever? ; )

Okay my baseball Cardinals open the season Monday after a few more days of Madness.

It's only been 11 days since St Pat's, Superbob, not several weeks. :) You can get your trend line right back in the zone. Awesome dinner. Stay focused, do your portions and track. It will work!

I met a lady at WW the other day who lost 50 lbs in 6 months. First time in. How did she do it? She worked the program EVERY day. Weighed portions and tracked and stayed in the points budgets. Man I applauded her. I took more detours so took me 3x longer but it still worked. She inspired me to be consistent & that gave me a real nice loss this month to get me back to lifetime weight. Seriously, if she can be levelheaded about food so can I.

Go throwdowners!!! Every day is a new day with no mistakes in it.

Trying to stay the course .... DW made a delicious Key Lime pie yesterday and I only hade one small piece ... there was a time I would have eaten the whole pie ... but today is a different day with a pie that is only missing two pieces :tongue2:

Is DW this:

Desired wife
Delicious wife
Desirable woman
Dang wife
Doting wife
Divine wife/woman
Devil wife/woman
DEVOTED Wife

Should I go on????

The SEC is well represented in the Final Four! Just saying. I actually have one bracket, my personal fantasy, that had Florida (because I knew they'd be there), Connecticut and Kentucky. I went out on the wrong limb and picked SDSU to fill the space taken by Kentucky's next opponent, Wisconsin.

Anyway, hoping to have a good week, or at least a break-even week, weight-wise. We'll see.

Had a three day slip but back on track ... started with pizza and then this and that and ended up with 2 hotdogs, 2 fried chicken legs and a large hot fudge sundae on Sunday .... lots going on DW was sick and when I cook or bring in food it's not good choices :redface2:
