Okay, Throwdowners, up and march around the breakfast table! Superbob is up super-early, having delivered the grandkids to school while Son of Superbob is on a business trip. Always good to know we grand folks are still useful. :biggrin2:

Tomorrow marks the end of the Race to Saint Paddy's Day. As of Tuesday, Superbob was down 5.5 pounds for that race that started New Year's Day. Will maintain the suspense until tomorrow and weigh then -- maybe eat pancakes this morning and a celebration scone later today to give some of y'all a chance to catch up. :tongue2:

Catch me if you can! :wink2:

It has been a trying week. Mrs. Superbob is having some intestinal difficulties -- will omit the details but note that I contacted three specialists for her just yesterday. She is supposed to have a rather unpleasant test Monday that she's worried about. Hoping she feels better today. Prayers would certainly be most welcome.

Okay, have a great Throwdown week, Throwdowners!

Good going superBob, on your weight loss. Super job. I am wishing Mrs. SuperBob better feeling days to be able to keep superBob in line. Has to be a full time job!

And Cooker, keep on keeping on.

Superbob's DW has my prayers for a good outcome. Baby Matthew could also use some since his O2 levels continue to drop, and they are uncertain why. Although I am reassured by Superbob's own experience as an infant, our son and daughter-in-law are first time parents and haven't embraced Matthew's longterm superhero potential.:wink2:

I guess I will weigh tomorrow. I'm hopeful I'll lose 5.5 pounds before then and make Superbob split that cranberry orange scone with moi!:tongue2:

Sending my prayers to baby Matthew too! My reference was to my oxygen level after my AVR 9 years ago, not as an infant. Completely different context and not relevant to the baby. Sorry, I didn't mean to make light of it.

I hope and pray they will find the cause of continued drop for baby Matthew, and get everything stabilized.

Hey all you guys,

I am new to the sight, but I feel very welcome here. I have been gaining my confidence all along...I was diagnosed in August 2013 with BAV, and enlarged Aorta.(4,2).

I have been posting here because you all made me seem like a part of a loyal, informed but fun group.

So I have been posting, not worrying about wasti g everyone's time.

I am in the waiting room, so I don't want to be too long in my texts! Even when it is time for me to have my surgery.

Prayers for baby Matthew and for Mrs. SB!!!

mbeard, you fit right in with this wacky fun group of "losers." Keep posting away. It's good for the soul to share!

We weighed this morning at WW instead of tomorrow because of our schedule. So here's our reports:

CINDY:

Starting weight 2014: 150.4
Last Week: 147
This Week: 146.4
Loss YTD: 4

WISE:
Starting weight 2014: 177
Last Week: 176.2
This Week: 175.2
Loss YTD: 1.8

Okay, so now I am back on the losing track. I am out out out of contention in the RTSPD, but Cindy put in a valiant effort. Getting ill really did a number with my psyche and weight loss. All behind me now. On the to the next goal, whatever that is!

Congrats to SB, whom I assume is (or will be) the winner of the Race to St. Paddy's Day. Great job our fearless defender of life, liberty and weight loss!

I hoped to have a 6.5 pound loss for the week :wink2:, but I had to settle for staying the same. I agree with Wise; I think Superbob is our St. Paddy's Day winner, unless The Chimp swings in with a big overnight loss.:tongue2:
Congrats Superbob and congrats Cindy!

Congrats to all, prayers for baby Matthew, and mbeard we love having you post here. You are a confirmed Throwdowner now. :smile2:

Superbob's starting weight for RTSPD: 263

Weight today (enhanced by eating nothing except a pack of nabs during marathon ER visit last night): 257

Loss for the Race: 6

Victory scones will be cranberry-orange adored in green (shamrocks)….

ER trip was for DW, who had an infection, insanely high bp -- we were just grateful they let us come home at 3 a.m. Starting new med, still not feeling well, I have a new bp monitor to keep better tabs. We have a wonderful rescue crew a few blocks away, and the ER personnel are great, too. Don't know how they do it -- the place was filled with pain, crying, and tragedy last night….

PS: daughter-in-law went in to see baby doc at doc's request today b/c the baby is getting so big -- evidently well over 9 lbs. Thank God all the tests were good. Still waiting for the delivery. Looks like a big boy indeed on the ultrasound. Of course you can see by SB's numbers that plus size is not unknown in this family

Hope they get baby Matthew sorted ASAP, Duffey. Our twins were 27-weekers (courtesy of dornole's heart) so I know how worrisome it is for parents and friends to have a newborn in the hospital. That said, our twins had just an awesome outcome in the end (they are 11 now). Will pray for the little guy and his parents and grandparents too.

I thought we were going all the way to 3-17 for the Race to St. Paddy's Day! Is it really the Race to the Ides of March? ; ) (I weigh at WW on Mondays and that's my "official" weight which is usually 5-7 heavier than my home scale).

Well, I will graciously concede the defeat that is probably in store for me anyway. ; ) Congrats SuperBob and everyone who dropped some lbs.! Be healthy be strong!

No, of course you can go to the 17th, Monday, which is Saint Paddy's Day. By Throwdown tradition (and standing in for The Chimp), I just start each week thread on Thursday … weekly reports can come in any day after that. So if you edge me out, fine. I'm just saying, I'm not giving my scone away to anyone. :tongue2: (My fondness for scones is another golden-oldie on the Throwdown. Goes way back to when I was living in the mountains and going to a little coffeehouse that had the world's best scones -- or at least the best I've ever eaten. :biggrin2:
