Greetings!!! I hope this finds all well and getting into the spirit of the season! We all have much to be grateful for and what better time of the year to express our heartfelt thankfulness .....

I have managed another week of swimming Monday thru Friday (that’s where I was this morning, Bob:tongue2:) ... I’m down a pound this week and I have stayed “fairly” low carb but there are some seasonal treats floating around and you know TheChimp has a sweet tooth:redface2: ... Anyway I’m on track my goal of 50 pounds off by Thanksgiving 2013!!!

So, how did you do this week? ... I hope you have been successful in whatever you have attempted ... Have a great week and keep moving!!!

Maintenance Phase Starting Weight 228.5

Seasonal greetings!

Superbob's starting maintenance weight: 265

Superbob's weight this morning: 262.6

Status so far: Minus 2.4

Yes, appetite is coming back, and there is a Christmas dinner party at Sea Captain's tonight. But nicely broiled seafood shouldn't be anything but good. A bigger challenge will be the Mended Hearts party next Monday, for which members will bring covered dishes, no doubt the richest holiday concoction each household features. Superbob will have to exert superpowers of moderation for that.

Still hope to trim a few by new year's and then drop into the 250s and set new goals.

Cheers to all! Ho, Ho, Ho! ;)

Great job SuperBob and I'm glad you are getting back to normal!! We love the Sea Captain and their broiled seafood is tops so enjoy!!!!

So far, it looks like weight maintenance agrees with Throwdowners!:smile2:
My weight last week was 151.5
This week's it's 149.5
Status to date: minus 2

I think I will do well for a few weeks, but I will struggle once the kids come home for the holidays and I start baking. Oh well.:wink2:

I had a teeth cleaning this morning without benefit of an antibiotic. Fellow Throwdowners, tell me I won't come down with a case of endocarditis. I've read the new guidelines, but it still makes me nervous.:confused2:

Good going, Duffey. As for the pre-dental-work antibiotic, guidelines come and go, but my dentists have always (so far) wanted me to take the amoxicillin. Have appointment just before Christmas, so will be interesting to see if that changes. I've often wondered if it really is any help. I'm sure you will be fine.

This week I'm with what I weighed on the doctor's scale Thursday morning. I've been given an "invitation" to step the exercise and healthy eating by the doctor. Going to walk on the treadmill today since it's a rainy day. Cindy is not weighing these days, but I think that after she sees me making progress again, she"ll join in again.

Starting maintenance weight: 192.8
This Week: 192
Total Loss: .8

As the doctor agreed, that's better than a gain. It was actually down two pounds on his scale, so I might have weighed less st home. The doctor said he'd be happy if I lost two pounds a month. I think that's more realistic for me at this point.

Glad everyone is doing well. I having me a case of Sea Captain's envy. It's the best! Cooker, SB & Duff hats off to your progress. Duffey, that understandable about being "in the spirit," so to speak, when your kids are in. Enjoy that time - muy importante!

Duffey and Wise, good job ... Sunday morning and I'm self talking to get back on track ... I have been enjoying to cookie exchange preview of the Baptist women's group ... I have not been way off beam but it's time to just say no to bake goods:eek2:

Just say no to cookie cookie cookie (insert Cookie Monster smiley and voice) :p

DW insist that all bake goods be thoroughly test prior to distribution and being that I am Sr VP in charge of distribution and seeing that with the economic situation and downsizing all pre-shipment testing fell on me ... I had to take one for the team but luckily all have been shipped and I do not see any further shipments until Saturday so I should be able to recover!!!

I need to brag a bit ... I joined the gym on 10-30-12 ... I piddled around a bit until I decided after two weeks that swimming was the only thing that really interested me ... when I started to swim I could barely swim 20 minutes and was washed out when I got out of the pool ... today I swam 1 hour with ease!!!! ... I’m not losing weight very fast but that’s ok ... I feel so much better!!! ... Wish I had discovered my love for swimming years ago!

Lol! Glad to hear that baked goods distribution center is so efficient! Having sample a little of the goods that shipped to Pigeon Forge, I am envious of your illustrious job. ; )

That's fantastic that you've discovered your love of swimming. I need to discover a love for something, anything!

Bad week for food and weight for me, but I feel a little better after getting more sleep courtesy of trazodone. I'm being scheduled to see an endocrinologist. Hoping that he can line me out, straighten me up, administer an attitude adjustment. I'll report Friday, but I've seen the preview and I'm up 3.5. It is what it is. Good day friends!

Good luck with that, Wise.

SB is doing okay, I guess. Have to re-do our retiree health care options cause company I worked for, for just about forever, has been bought out. :eek2:We have options -- it's just stressful to have to change plans after being on same one for so many years. Stress alone should keep my weight down, unless I go to stress-eating.

Heading to walk Superdawg in the rain, then take DW to buy a Christmas ham for the company, then hit workout room, then stress....there's no crying in health care pondering, nope no crying.....

I kinda miss weighing in on Thursdays -- weird, huh? Maybe I just miss the Aussies. :wink2: BTW, speaking of Aussies, where is Ski Girl and her fitness tips of the week? Don't quit on us now, Ski Girl, just because we're a bunch of old reprobates. :tongue2:

Okay, I guess if Superbob wants to weigh in on Thursday, he can just take off his cape and go weigh.

I would stress about that too, admittedly!

Go ahead and weigh, maybe it will be a stress reliever! If not, you can join me in the "what in the heck was I thinking this week" category.

Hark! I have an update. I had a moment and remembered to weigh. It's a little better.

Starting weight: 192.5
Last Week: 192
This week: 194.6
Change for race to maintain: +2.1

Maybe I can still break even.
