I have had a terrible diet week but I'm not giving up ... With the sickness at work and a manager resigning I mn having to spend 12 to 14 hours a day at the store which means some days I'm eating three meals there on the run ... end result up 5 pounds ... I'll do my best to recover quickly ... Oops ... almost forgot Thanksgiving is lurking around the bend:biggrin2: ... I'm thankful to have the medical technology we have and the gang here at VR.org:thumbup:

2013 Starting Weight: 231
Last Weigh In : 221.0
Todays Weight: 226.0
YTD: -5

Wow, well early report: I am pleased that I am 3 pounds lighter than I was on this day last week. I'm still 4 pounds above my target weight for the end of 2013, but at least I have started correcting the recent damage.

With all the feasting holidays and parties coming up, I will be doing well just to maintain between now and Jan. 1. But I am setting a revised objective of meeting my 2013 goal by Valentine's Day -- and then setting a new goal.

It is helpful that I've been able to gain access to the workout room in the amenities center that is being renovated. I need the extra exercise because sweet ol' Sadie, though she still loves her daily walk, likes to sniff about every blade of grass nowadays, it seems.

(Ah but this afternoon they closed the workout room for renovation -- oh well, hopefully it will be back up by first of the week and ought to be nice.)

I guess Thanksgiving prep has swallowed up all the Throwdowners. Sad. But Throwdowners will have their revenge when they eat Thanksgiving right down to the final crumb. :eek2::biggrin2:

No Thanksgiving prep for us! We show up and it's ready. Actually I admit, with fear of being stoned, that Thanksgiving and Christmas meals are not my favorite meals. I like them, but I love burgers and fries, ice cream, fettuccine alfredo, great pizza, pancakes, etc., you get the drift, hehe. Anyway, I ain't afraid of no turkey and dressing, green bean casserole, mac and cheese, gravy, biscuits, butter, pumpkin anything, yams, pecan pie (well this is the one thing I do really like), carrot cake (well this is the other thing that I really do like), cranberry anything (like this too! scones perhaps?), etc.

Now that I'm finished being silly, Cindy and I had a great week. Cindy lost 2.4 pounds this week and I lost 1.4. So, no complaints. No where's the cheeseburger and fries!!!!

Wise ... I'm with you!!! I would love to sit down to a good old grilled cheeseburger and fries any day ... especially Thanksgiving or Christmas day!!!!

Checking in from New Orleans. I've had plenty of good food, but I haven't overdone it, and my walking regime has been reinstated. I bet I've walked 3-4 miles every day since we arrived, and I am sore! I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and are blessed with another year of good health and happiness.

Sounds like you're having a great time! Happy 40th!

Dang right -- give me a big ol' cheeseburger with all the fixin's for Thanksgiving or Christmas, too! And the best one i've found comes from Red Robin. Get their rewards card for free, and they give you a free one on your birthday plus every 10th one is free. They taste great even when they aren't free. :thumb up: Order the Red Robin Gourmet Cheeseburger and see if it isn't the best you've ever had. (No, Superbob receives no reimbursement from RR) :biggrin2:

I bet Duffey is eating fancier food than burgers and fries. :biggrin2: BTW, Red Robin's steak fries are also magnificent.

I have to say that the last burger I had from RR was pretty darn good. Had their Seafood Skatter (or platter, since that's what it is) and I have to say it was as good as any seafood restaurant in these parts, but of course not as good as Sea Captain's House in Myrtle Beach.

No place is as great as Sea Captain's but we're going to another fine one tomorrow with a bountiful Thanksgiving buffet. Plus, they throw leftover biscuits out into the lake and gators snap them up.

Wishing a very Happy Thanksgiving to all Throwdowners….. A day when calories don't count! :biggrin2::thumbup:
