Slowly he turns, ounce by ounce, pound by pound ... It’s been a good week ... I have been eating better and exercising and it’s paying off slowly ... My goal of 50 pounds in as many weeks can be reached if I continue on this course...

Met with the massage therapist after my swim yesterday for a 30 minute massage; wonderful ... soothing music, aroma therapy (to help sinus) and very comprehensive massage of neck, shoulder and back muscles ... I got off the table feeling like a new chimp:biggrin2: ... wish I could afford to start each day like that!!!

I’m down one pound for the week ... feeling better but still looking forward to my flexibility getting better, I’m awful stiff in the morning until I get moving but maybe that’s age and will not change:rolleyes2: ... all in all I’m pleased with the way things are going ... So, how did your week go? ... Success I hope ... Is TheRef back? ....

Peace out:cool2:

Thanksgiving Day Marathon Starting Weight: 217
Last Week .... 225.5
This Week .... 224.5
Marathon Stats .... +7.5

I'm glad you're feeling good with the exercise regime, Cooker. I think a pound a week is a good number to aim for. :smile2:

I'm up a half pound for the week. That translates to a 1.5 gain for the Turkey Day race. When is our last weigh-in for TDay-7?

I left last week with a sore throat and hoped it would resolve with some Cajun cooking, but almost a week later, it hasn't happened. As much as I hate to, I'm headed to the doc's to see if he's got an answer. No exercise until I kick whatever this is.:mad2:

Hope you get to feeling better SOON!!!! I will be home next Thursday so lets call it on Thanksgiving morning!!!

My final is down 4.9 for this race. Won't be at a place I can weigh next Thursday so if that disqualifies me, so be it.

Good luck to all the Throwdowners and happy holidays to all.

You're doing great SB! Of course you'll still win. No one else can hoe a candle to the resident superhero. I do hope you're doing okay.

Cooker, keep it up and you'll see 180 easily.

Duffey, Ref, M, you'll that little gain in no time.

Laurie, we know you're barely treading water working so hard. Hope you, Jet and family are okay.

I admit I'm a tad bit impatient to get my MRI results so I can put this out of my thoughts! I want to eat eat eat but I need to do anything else but that.

My back feels 100 percent better after a 90-minute massage from sweet Liu at Healthy Tai Chi therapeutic massage. I felt like I could hardly walk a block the past few days, and now I feel as though I could run a 10K. :smile2:

If I could afford it, I'd get one at least once a week. As is, I probably average one a month. Previously 60-minute ones, but 90 minutes is even better.

Oh, and Superbob will be in the Land of Rocky Top on Thanksgiving so that's why he can't weigh in then. He weighed in again this morning and confirmed that he's down 4.9 for the Turkey Day Race. (Was 5.9 but there was a little backsliding the past week involving birthday cake.) :wink2:

Good luck everyone (and you with the MRI, Wise) and Happy Thanksgiving.

Great to hear you're feeling so good. That massage sounds wonderful. Back pain is the pits!

Thanks amigo for the well wishes. Also, have a great trip and a Happy Thanksgiving!

Greetings losers .... First let me say that it seems that SuperBob will walk away with the Race; congratulations Bob and Have a great mountain Thanksgiving ... Secondly, I have had my first of two Thanksgiving dinner and the bulge is trying to battle back .... tis the season :rolleyes2: ....

Have a great Thanksgiving and please remember our service men and women, present and past when you give thanks for this great country

I am definitely bulging in the belly but it's not from Thanksgiving food. A little quiet secret about me....I would rather have a good cheeseburger ad fries than turkey and dressing. Now if I could have a plate of good chicken and dumplings, that would get my interest. Not very interested in the family gathering this year (which is Saturday at Cindy's mom's) but I think it's the hormonal thing which I hope is figured out soon.

Happy Thanksgiving to all, whenever you have it, and each time you have it!

Superdawg has superpowers of perception. She knows what all that luggage means. She made me -- made me -- walk her an extra mile or two through wooded trails this morning. May have walked off a few more pounds.

I hope and pray her caregivers will treat her sweetly and walk her when they can. Goodness knows, this superdawg and I are attached to each other.

Prayers for Superdog and Superdaddy for everything to go smoothly pupwise.

I'm confident I'm not winning this race.:wink2: If I can hold steady through this week-end, I will consider that a victory. Our kids start arriving tomorrow, and it will be nonstop meals from now until Sunday evening. I'm hoping the effort it takes to keep everyone fed will counteract the calories that come with the feeding.:biggrin2:

Duffey - make others help with the meal prep, grab your kids one at a time and take them out for a walk and a chat! And remember, you have 100% control of what you eat. :)

Happy Turkey Day all, from Down Under!

Good news for me. ¡No tumor! (Did you notice I spelled "no tumor" in español?) My doctor will retest for elevated prolactin levels (no I'm not pregnant, Ha!) among other hormonal imbalances. If the levels are still high, he'll refer me to an endocrinologist. So, I'm relieved, even if still exhausted. Thanks for the support while I was biting my fingernails. Tell Lucy I have her nickel.
