I did start back on low carb and made it through the Wednesday without cheating but it was as they say to little to late ... up 3 pounds this week ...

I have decided to round (no pun intended) my weight up or down so if you notice a change in the beginning stats that’s the reason ... makes it easier to keep up with ... I have a long way to go but the threat of a butt-kickin from SuperBob has given me new resolve:eek2: ...

I hope you have had a good week:thumbup:

Thanksgiving Day Marathon Starting Weight: 217
Last Week .... 221
This Week .... 224
Marathon Stats .... +7:mad2:

Superbob's stats:

Thanksgiving Day Marathon starting weight: 270.9

Current weight: 265.2

Race results so far: minus 5.7 pounds

Secret: Not starvation. Instead, for the first time in my life, I am thinking about what I am about to eat -- what my choices are -- before I eat. Last night, DW insisted on going to a roadhouse here renowned for local seafood. SB ordered a broiled salmon that came atop a huge dish of fresh veggies with a nice honey mustard/hot bacon sauce on the side, used sparingly. He took a corner of the very sweet roll that came with the entree and gave the rest to DW. Snacks later on in the evening were a nectarine, banana, and a cheese stick.

Then there's exercise: Superdawg is slowing down and doesn't want to walk so far. But I am not so busy that I can't go to the workout room or the Y for, at a minimum, a half-hour day on the exeecise bike and maybe a few free weights. Or even the outdoor pool while it's still borderline warm enough, the the Y pool this winter.

This is just the beginning, folks.

And yes Superbob is going to do some house calls and administer butt-whuppings if you all don't give him some competition to push him. You hear?

I looked back three weeks to see what I posted for my starting weight. It was 149 pounds.
I weighed this morning and I weigh 149.5
Gain of a half pound, but considering I started the week so much higher, I'm happy.:smile2:

Surveying the damage from a weekend of stressing with my favorite sports teams ... hmmm, still within a half-pound of my reported low of last Thursday... not too bad.

But got to step it up -- there are signs of The Chimp getting back in the battle, and we all know what a competitor he is. Superbob vows to eat sensibly and exercise this week....:D

Bob ... good to hear the damage was not to bad:thumbup: ... Talked to The-Ref today but forgot to ask for a ten pound stop due to a bum knee ... looks like it's off to the ortho doc:thumbd: ...

I'm still on plan ... I just hate having to lose those pesky gained pounds over and over but I hope to soon be on the minus side for the race .....:biggrin2:

Glad to hear Superbob and Duffey doing well.

You need to send to us who are struggling some good energizing thoughts.

I have been doing very well until yesterday! I went to a party after church...I enjoyed hearing the compliments...I enjoyed explaining that I can eat anything within my *points* budget and I felt proud of myself control resisting most of the sweets on the tables until I reached home. :eek2: My brain flipped...I lost my control...I started with a piece of dark chocolate with nuts, then another and another piece until I finished the block and I went nuts!! After that I craved for a bagel with heaped tablespoons of supposedly "light cream cheese"!

I imagine this was due to lack of good sleep and not drinking enough water these days. I hope to be able to sleep early tonight ... a good night sleep curbs my appetite sometimes.

Thanksgiving Day Marathon Starting Weight: 163.6

Eva, I think we are all subject to occasional out-of-control bouts of eating; I know I am. Used to be particularly bad for me when I'd wake up in the middle of the night and go foraging for whatever forbidden foods might be around. Fortunately, I seem to have gotten out of that nocturnal pattern, but I still have my bad moments in broad daylight. :eek2: I guess the secret is to get over the guilt and get right back on track. I'm sure you will and looks like you are doing well.

Cooker, I am sorry to hear about the bum knee! I sure know about those. Hope the visit to the ortho goes well. Does the Chimp have opportunity to work swimming or aqua therapy into a daily routine? I know you have a busy work schedule and it's hard to get pool time into that sometimes. I sometimes wonder how I keep plodding along with one knee lacking any cartilage, but still managing to put in fair distances. Reckon that one day I'm going to have to face up to need for a knee replacement. Hope yours is not at that stage and can be healed with rest perhaps or therapy.

Hang tough, Throwdowners!

I haven't totally disappeared. In fact I'm actually doing a little better. I restarted counting my weight watchers points again. My weight as of Monday morning was 188.5 so I guess that will be my starting point. I guess far as Cindy goes I know she's starting a new program called Isogenics which is supposed to help with hormonal issues as well as weight loss. She has not weighed yet but I know she will after she gets her stuff.

Cooker, bum knees are a bummer. Hope you're on the road to improvement soon.

SB, Duffey, Laurie, Eva, Earline and anyone else I haven't mentioned, I hope you have a good week and manage to meet your own expectations.

Actually Cindy weighed this morning. I haven't gotten her permission to post it yet, so I will ask her about that.

Have a great day everyone!
