Thanks Karlynn - I know alot of people around here are smiling today!! It was a good game! My priest is a lavid Cardinal fan so can't wait to see him today!

Thank you!:)
It was a great game, but I think we've got a tiger by the tail with this next series!

Whichever team wins, I'm hoping for a win in 4 or 5 games because my son's marching band will compete for the state championship on Oct. 28 at Ford Field in Detroit--right next door to the Tiger's Comerica Park.

Oh no! Think of the traffic and parking!

No kidding, Karlynn! And I understand the two parks share parking...what fun! My son's band is scheduled to play last in their flight, which will mean around 10:15. Awards will follow. My son will spend the night, but we, in our infinite wisdom, decided we'd rather drive home. Oh, someone, please win in 4 or 5 games!

None of the media "experts" gave the Cards a chance against the Padres, and certainly not the Mets, and the latest word was that the Tigers would sweep them. Well, the Tigers are good and they might win before it's done but after Game One tonight, we can say for sure they're not going to sweep.

As a Cardinals fan for the past 55 years or so, I absolutely love it that no one is giving them any chance this post-season. That takes pressure off them and they are producing. It's great. That Game Seven win over the Mets was a classic.

And thanks Karlynn for graciously starting this thread. If I recall correctly, you're a White Sox fan. They have a good team and they will be back.

Cheers,
