Thought this was interesting and a bit strange. the day i found out i was having surgery i was driving home from work and a billboard that had previously advertised a nearby casino had suddenly changed to read Inland Empire Heart & Vascular Institute at St Bernardines Medical Center. "More patients trust their hearts to us" This is where I will be having my surgery. Second largest in cardiovascular surgery in southern calif, sixth largest in the state. Coincidence? or Fate?

It's a subliminal message being broadcast to you. Do you wear a tinfoil hat? If so, tilt it slightly to see if there are anymore incoming messages. :biggrin2:

I have my opinion, I would say fate, but not everyone believes as I do.

I would say fate. The day I went to my first cleveland clinic appointment when the hubby and I were driving after finding out that I was going to need open heart surgery a song by nickelback called "If today was your last day" came on the radio. I have the cd but that was the very first day I heard it on the radio and I'll tell you one thing that is not a good song to listen to when you find out you need heart surgery.

Nope. Not coincidence. Both times I've had medical crises, I had felt my deceased sister with me very strongly earlier in the day. I've not had that feeling ever, at any other time.
I have sworn that if I ever feel her that way again, I'm just going straight to the hospital, to save time!

I believe it is fate too.
Justin has had several surgeries postponed more than once and altho it is annoying and stressful, I always believe he will have it WHEN it is meant to be. One surgery (OHS#4) he needed a new surgeon and hospital and we knew it was a risky surgery because his heart was fused to his sternum. We got opinions from 3. I personally wanted to go back to CHOP (he had surgery 1 nand 2 there) but he wanted to go to another hospital where is ped card was. He was 17 and I figured since he was the one that had to have the surgery and do all the work to recover, we should go where he thought he would do the best. That surgery was postponed 3 times. The 3rd time they said they didn't even know when they would be able to do his surgery. I told Justin and my husband that this is a sign that he is not supposed to have his surgery there and I don't know how many more chances we will get to just go to the other hospital. IF he was meant to go to the first one, he would have had the surgery already. Sooo we went to CHOP
-after I had to call the surgeon there and tell him we changed our mind again and want him to do the surgery..he was very kind about it and said he could tell I was upset and after we calmed down and think about it, if we want to go to the other hospital, that would be fine too, he understands it is hard. As soon as we talked to him, I felt the sense of peace I always get when I just know we made the "right" decision in all the tough choices we had to make since he was born, that I NEVER had when We had surgery schedualled at the 1st hospital.
Justin's surgery went great and it actually was on if he quickest recoveries.
So listen to your inner voice
