For all those office managers out there, this is for you (I'm actually experiencing this today - we have a new coffee machine. This is now posted on it!)

1. Do you want a beverage? If no, back off; If yes, you are in front of the correct machine

2. What beverage do you want? Pick ONE of the following types:
a. hot water
b. hot chocolate (This choice will not give you any coffee; only hot chocolate, minus the mess and hassle of tearing open the package, dumping it into your cup, tossing the wrapper and mixing the contents)
c. cold water (wrong machine-turn to your right and place cup under faucet/ or use water cooler machine); if directions needed for this machine, see key operator.
c. coffee
You have several choices:
1. regular caffeine coffee
2. decaffeinated coffee
3. Half (50%) regular coffee AND half (50%) decaffeinated coffee = 100% coffee
4. café mocha [if you don?t know, you don?t need it];
(hint: mocha is chocolate flavor)
5. cappuccino [if you don?t know, you don?t need it];
(hint: dictionary found on line)

Lightly push on the button that contains your choice (Reminder: ONE choice)

A green light will appear on the button you select. That way you can double check your selection. It will also serve as a reminder that you do not need to repeat this step, because the light is ON.

Now we move on to the next step:

3. How do you like your coffee brew strength?

a. if mild, lightly touch mild button (Mild) (This means less coffee potency, more water than average)
b. if medium, lightly touch medium button (Medium) (This is normal coffee strength, not too light, not too heavy)
c. if strong, lightly touch strong button (Strong) (This means the potency is stronger than average coffee)
d. if more robust, you need to find an espresso bar.

A green light will appear on the button you select. That way you can double check your selection. It will also serve as a reminder that you do not need to repeat this step, because the light is ON.

We?re almost there?.

4. Now you need to decide what size the cup you are drinking is.
There are pictures on the buttons to help you with your selection.

a. If it is a smaller cup (10 oz) lightly push the button with the cup that looks like a Styrofoam cup
b. If it is a mug, (12 oz), lightly push the button with the mug (handled) picture on it.
(IF in doubt, push the smaller cup (Styrofoam/no handle) so it will not overflow; then the next time you will know which button to push, by whether your cup is full or not)

A green light will appear on the button you select. That way you can double check your selection. It will also serve as a reminder that you do not need to repeat this step, because the light is ON.

Now, watch to see your coffee being made. Isn?t it entertaining? All this fun by just pushing a few buttons!

If the light is still on DO NOT REMOVE. You may burn yourself. First aid is in the box on the wall. It is marked First Aid. Please read directions before using the items in that box.

When you see the light go off, feel free to remove your cup and enjoy your beverage.

If desired, the creamer, sugar and sweeteners are located on the table next to the coffee. They are labeled accordingly. If help is needed, dial ?0? on the telephone and customer service will walk you through.

After finishing your beverages, if you desire more, go back to step one and begin again or if satisfied, be sure to dispose of them in the proper manner. Leftover beverages need to be poured down the sink. It is located to your right, next wall. Used beverage holders (cups) need to be placed in the dishwasher, NOT the sink.

After several times using this machine, you will find that this may become a routine and you will not need to read the directions each time. Then you may be able to get a side job at Starbucks, once you include ?ability to make coffee? on your resume.

Thank you and Enjoy!

And don't even get me started on the directions I have on the fuse box!

Complicated coffee.

Imagine the irritation after a few round of caffeine already in ya!

So who refills the machine?
What do those instructions look like?
Do you need to be certified?
Certifiable?

Imagine the irritation of the person having to explain a coffee machine to aerospace engineers 15,000,000 times in one day?
