I judged a cat show Saturday. That night, we judges had dinner & one judge mentioned when he cut his head on a glass coffee table. (Didn't know it was bleeding.) Went to bed & woke up with blood-soaked sheets. Finally got the bleeding to stop. No, he's NOT taking any anticoagulant.
Then I related my experience nearly 3 years ago of slicing off the tip of my index finger, going to the ER and being sent home with finger bandaged but no attempt to use pressure to stop bleeding. Also woke up in a blood-soaked bed.
Another judge said that cobwebs contain a natural source of a coagulant. I've never heard of that. Found a few references to that on the internet, but don't understand how it works. Also saw that it would take a "ton" of cobwebs to do any good.
Anyone have any info on this?
If this helps, I'll stop getting rid of cobwebs in my house.
