Cindy's Guide Dog's Birthday

Perry is two years old today. Happy Birthday to one of my newest best friends. I waited for today for my latest guide dog update. Perry is doing great. He and our Bichon Frise, Beau, are jealous of each other; Perry really likes him though and wants Beau to play with him, but Beau turns up the drama and looks at him like "I'm not playing with a monster like you". As Perry has matured and gotten used to being with me as a normal dog, he has been able to maintain his professionalism when he's working. At first, if I paid much attention to him at home, he was distracted in his work when I was around. Now he's doing great. Cindy is hopelessly in love with this dog and he returns the sentiment. We are truly blessed. No cake in store for him though, just a big treat inside his kong toy that Cindy took to work with them so he can spend the day getting to his reward in the kong.

Please add my sincere happy birthday wishes for Perry. From the moment I saw him in downtown San Rafael last fall, I knew he would be special for someone -- and I couldn't be happier to know that he's working with Cindy.

Thank you Mary, Gina, Karlynn & Steve, four of our good vr friends; kind of appropriate for a four-legged's birthday, huh? Perry had a great day with more treats than usual; he doesn't get a lot...obesity is the guide dog's biggest enemy...so they say. He didn't act differently though, he's always up for life...he's so full of it ("it" meaning life, but not excluding other meanings).
