This is the nextdoor neighbour passing by our farm with his children in a little wheeled cart pulled by a pony. If the snow was deeper, we would have had our 82 year old neighbour out with his big sleigh and black Standardbred horse.
It's great that people still enjoy the simple pleasures on a holiday, or any day, for that matter.:)

Despite the grey clouds and the tons of snow, there is quite a peaceful feeling in this picture. I love it. Thanks, Bina. Yes, any photos of your goats! I know the pigs in Farmtown were dressed!!

Sorry, no pics of my darling goats with their Santa hats on.....they are already at the goat breeders farm for winter boarding.
We were lucky that the weather has been so warm and gave us snow....the last 2 days it tried to rain and we ended up with freezing rain and power outages.
Now the top of the snow looks like glass and the roadway is deserted.
Freddie, maybe if your minus 20 temperatures (!!) warm up you will get more pretty snow too.

Don't need any more snow. I like using the leave blower to clean off the sidewalk. T

Temperatures have been around -23C (-9F) and warming up to -12C (+10F) during the day, so yea snow could come any day now.

I am glad I was able to pop in and see your picture. It is funny, but the emotion I feel from your picture is silence and peace. If I was lucky enough to have that picture, I would love to try cropping it a bit. Congratulations on such a nice shot.

Bina:

Thanks for the photo!

Brrrrrr! Because I have short hair, I've been looking for earmuffs. We've had snow several times in the last week or so, and I think earmuffs have been wiped out of stores here in Texas. Perhaps I should run up to Canada and stock up on them. Sounds like your weather is conducive to stores carrying loads of earmuffs, mufflers, mittens, etc.

Let me know what you would like Marsha and I'll send it to you. Olympic stuff is everywhere.
Honest I will. Bina, Cozycat, Dennis S, Cooker, Ross and Wise will back me up - I keep my word.

I am definitely backing Freddie up on this. Every morning at about 5:30 I step out on the porch to bring in some firewood for our wood stove. Just before doing so, I put on a little something Freddie got me and I am warm as toast.

And I think warmly of my friend Freddie every winter's morning!

Dennis, thank you.....My husband took the picture and he said it would be a pleasure to share it with you. Shall I send it to your FaceBook email address?

That would be wonderful. I will send you my address by PM right now. And I will, of course, send you a copy of my efforts. Send it with a file size as close to the original as you can. Thanks again.

Great pic Bina! Yes the country is sooo peaceful and beautiful. That will DEFINITELY BE MY NEXT MOVE, and hopefully my last!
