AARGHH! I have all sorts of nerves already about it! I HATE these appointments soooo much. Chloe is ok about them - she doesnt really like the echo but she does lay still for it now and watches the blood flow on the screen (not like when they had to sedate her a few years back for them!).I have to make the radigrapher tell me exactly what they can see before we even see the consultant cos i just cant wait that long.

The sensible part of me thinks Chloe is fine, showing no signs of being poorly, eating well, not breathless at all etc etc but there is always that other little voice nagging at the back of my mind that knows what CAN go wrong on these valves and prays I don't get that news instead.

So, although I'm well aware this is nothing like going for surgery, we haven't had a checkup now for over 10 months and it's scary every time we go, so spare a little thought for this worried mummy on tuesday if you can?

Thankyou
Love Emma

I can't even imagine

I can't even imagine

Emma. It must be very very difficult to not be anxious about your daughter. You have all been through so much! It's bravery like hers that keeps me modest about my own fears. I'm sure she is amazing.

Maybe between now and Tuesday you can really "look at the glass as half full" and proceed gleefully throughout the hours knowing, that as far as you know now, everything is going along perfectly.

Get a few extra hugs from her. Sing a song in the car. Go to a special ice cream store for absolutely no reason. Go to a park and people watch or toss a frisbee. Take some extra measures to glow with your daughter. Either way, on Tuesday, you'll be really glad you did!!

I'll be thinking of her and wishing her all my best thoughts!

Emma,
I checked my crystal ball for June 28, 2005. I clearly see you leaving the appointment, Chloe skipping beside you, with a huge smile upon your face.

*oops, wait a minute*

*one more thing*

You're stopping at either an ice cream parlour, or a toy store, to buy Chloe something to celebrate the good news.
My vision isn't clear enough to see which one, so please keep me advised!

Your Fortune Teller,
Mary

Best of luck, Emma!

Best of luck, Emma!

I know how you feel. Bruna, my eight year-old daughter has MVP and even though there's nothing wrong with her, I can't help worrying and wondering if it will ever affect her life in any way. I just want you to know I'll be thinking of you and your little girl on Tuesday. Please, let us know how things went as soon as you can.

Ya know.........

Ya know.........

you can count on ours. We will be thinking of you guys on Tuesday. Please update as soon as you can - although I know it will be good news. Many hugs. Janet

that 'just before the visit' time is always an iffy for us because we all remember that first time when the dr said 'uh oh' and we are afraid of another uh oh. I guess it's preconditioning, however it always turns out well. Doesn't stop the worrisome thoughts, tho. I am sure you will get good news yet again. Thoughts for you all.
