hi everyone,
Have to just share this news.
Chloe started school on Monday and as you can imagine, it was quite an emotional day.
I teach where we have started her at school but took the morning off to be a 'mummy' rather than a teacher there to take her to school along with my husband for her first day. I just got out of her classroom before i started crying! It was just so emotional which i wasn't really prepared for and i don't know who was more excited - me or her?! She has been waiting for this day for almost 2 years - asking "how many more sleeps now mummy?" and as for us, well there has been many times when I've not even allowed myself to think about her starting school because we weren't entirely sure she'd make it there. (crying again like a big wet girls blouse as i think about it!)
She absolutely loved it the first two days but today she wasn't so sure - think she just realised this is for good now and there's no more just playing around at nursery now! lol I'm sure she'll be loving it again tomorrow.

Thanks for letting me share that - we are just so proud of her!

Ohh that is so cute.. I am so glad to you got to celebrate this small victory for and with your daughter!!! Cry all you want, these are the tears of happiness for what you and Chloe have fought and worked so hard for!!!

Take care Always,

Congratulations on reaching yet another milestone with your lovely little Chloe. I remember all those days - I had 3 children spread out in years and eventually lost count of the 'first day' every year. Every one is an emotional trip. But enjoyable as you will see every time. Best wishes to Chloe for reaching this new plateau - she is going to reach them all.

Heehee... My 4 y/o had his first day Tuesday. They're doing a "staggered start" thing so he went Tuesday and he'll go tomorrow (Friday) then next week he's in school every afternoon, Monday through Friday...

Maybe mom and I will have an hour's peace at home now before we have to pick the squirt up from school.... =)

I'm so happy for you.............

I'm so happy for you.............

as I know all too well the feeling of wondering whether we will ever get there, but I am not going to go there today. I am absolutely thrilled for you, and I am so glad that you were able to take off of work to be there for that moment. Truly a Kodak moment! I do hope you got some pics.

Heehee! And I do hope she is thrilled about going back to school again tomorrow, or you are in for a very long thirteen years. :D

Thanks for sharing..........I can't wait until we get there. Many hugs.

I remember that day so well

I remember that day so well

Hi Emma,

congratulations on getting yourself through Chloe's first day! As the son of a teacher who spent two terms in his mother's school, I should warn Chloe now that it's bad news being at mum's school!!

By the way, I'm just up the road from you in north Hampshire. Great to have another 'hog' on the site.

Best wished to Chloe,

Simon
