I was on all night..had double postings..Like, when 1 would post 2 would show up? Same post..Tried rebooting my puter, ect..then..I just watched..when it would get into a lull 1 post would show up. I think so many new members were really chatting..so fast..that things did not slow down? for my computer to get caught up?...Hope things get worked out before next Sunday's chat. ....Bonnie

I posted this on the other Chat Thread, but I'll repeat here (sorry, Ross):

As I've never used a chat line, am I doing something wrong? I missed the 5PM time (had to go out). When I got back at 10PM I logged on as instructed and was told no one was there. I went back several times with the same results. I figured with our Worldly Family I would find someone there, especially since it was now back. Am I doing something wrong??????

You cannot get into the chat room by going to the old Chat tab on VR's home page. The link is just slightly different than the new chat.

I believe the new room's link is:

Danny, sometimes people hang around forever, but the chat usually lasts around 2 - 3 hours.

I had always said I was going to get around to trying the Chat but always kept forgetting about the 5PM Sunday time. I finally wrote myself a note to remember 5PM Sunday and what happens; Chat goes down. Was it MY FAULT????? It's almost as bad as when you are the LAST to post on a Thread. Makes you wonder, was it something I typed that caused it to DIE?????? I just figured that as many NIGHT OWLS (like me) as we seem to have here, someone would have still been there.

I've been going thru the new link as the old Chat link on the home page still says Chat ain't available.

I'll write myself a note again for next Sunday at 5PM. Please don't blame me if it's not working next Sunday.

OOOOPS!!!!! Just looked at my calendar. I'll probably be still cutting up cars with the "Jaws of Life" refresher course next Sunday at that time. I guess I'll be late again. SHUT UP MARY---At least BEING LATE is not such a big deal for a MAN.

I understand what you mean about being the last to post to a thread. I have often wondered, "did I post too many times" or "did people just get sick of hearing from me"? Just insecurity left over from a bad childhood.

Since the new chat room seems to be more user friendly, maybe we will start seeing people there at different hours. I don't think there is any reason it can't be used at times other than 5PM on Sundays.

Am I wrong? Ross? Hank? And, BTW, the chat is GREAT. We all loved the smiley guys/gals, especially the moving ones.
