Is this a major nono or can you use Celebrex with careful monitoring?

did a search and found my answer. Thanks anyways

I have never seen anyone who had a problem with Celebrex. I have given talks for the company that used to market Celebrex. So you have to decide if I had to be sure that I knew what I was talking about because I was giving a presentation to a group of doctors OR am I prejudiced because I was paid well for giving these talks.

how is your back doing?, Lyn

Not worth a hill of beans. It's not my back so much as my thigh. It's pretty bad at night when I lie down. I still have 2 more epidurals to do. The first one did absolutely nothing for me. I am afraid I am spinning my wheels with the cortisone treatments.

I didn't really notice a difference until the third one and that didn't last very long :( BUt I know others that didn't have pain for a while after them. now if I have alot going on, like a vacation w/ lots of walking, I will have one or too before and it does help. altho I don't have to deal w/ the whole coumadin thing, do you go to a pain management doctor? Lyn

No but I think I need to find one. The orthepedic clinic I went to won't give me any more vicidins(sp) I only take them at night when I lie down to go rest and go to sleep. During the day when I am moving around its not too bad to cope with

I really recomend a pain management doctor, I went to lots of docs for about year before one doc told me to go to a pain magement doctor (i didn't even know there was such a thing, of course like other docs you have to find one you like, the first one I went to was awful but thankfully i found one I just love, he was the first one that actually had a plan, and told me there was no reason to be in pain, instead of making me feel like a whiner. he even knocks me out for epidurals.

My friend had the same experience as Lyn - no relief until the 3rd treatment and that worked wonders. So there is hope.

Hang in there - it's horrid to have that grinding pain; I sure hope the injections work.

Hi, my name is sandy and I have been on warfarin for many many years, I also take celebrex as needed for arthritis so far I haven't had any problems but you have to be careful with any anti-inflamatory drugs cause they can cause bleeding.
