I noticed that Chris hasn't posted in a long time, so I e-mailed him. He has been hospitalized with pneumonia. He read my e-mail but wasn't able to give a long response - said he would when he got home. I'm sure that he would benefit from prayers and probably would appreciate having his e-mail full of encouraging messages.

Hey Al,
Thanks for letting us know about Chris. I will keep him in my thoughts and prayers.
Take Care

Chris - you must've been out in the snow. Please take care of yourself and get back on your feet. Pneumonia is just awful. Prayers are being offered on your behalf.

Chris-

I was wondering about you too. Haven't seen any posts for a while. I'm so sorry to hear about the pneumonia. I know you will make sure things are taken care of correctly. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers.

Wishing you a trip home for the holidays soon.

Take care.

Chris, get well soon. Take good care of yourself and rest rest rest!

Wow and Thank you guys for all the well wishes. Sort of on the spur of the moment, we decided to go to Florida with some friends. I had a persistant cough but figured the Fla sunshine and orange juice would fix it. Got to Panama City Beach and it got worse, so I saw a doc who diagnosed a sinus infection and prescribed a weak antibiotic. I spent most of the vacation on the sofa in the condo watching the surf roll in, and saw no improvement. By the time I got home, I was really sick, was not eating, and had some serious temperature problems. My cardiologist (son-in-law) got me in for some tests and the hospitilized me for pneumonia. After five days of antibiotics, my fever broke and I escaped the big house. I lost 19 pounds, am still weak as a kitten, but my appetite is back and I'm getting a little more energy every day. By the way, home testors, don't forget to take your machine with you on vacation. I forgot and was totally unable to find a clinic in the area who did finger stick testing. They are really a bunch of masochists down there who must love doing those veneous blood draws. I'm home now and recovering in my lazy boy - Sophie the bird dog is loving all the time she is getting in my lap. Thank you again for all your thoughts and notes - Chris

Hi Chris

I'm so sorry to hear about your disasterous "vacation." Pneumonia is NOTHING to sneeze at!!!! Take good care of yourself and take your time recovering.....don't do too much too soon, especially in the cold. I'm glad you were properly diagnosed......

We just got back from VA. and I went down there with a sinus infection.....luckily my ENT guy gave me 10 days worth of Ceftin and I'm feeling mucho better.

Stay well, and you will be in my prayers.

Evelyn

Sorry P.C. didn't help, Chris. It's been so cold here this year so I bet you didn't get to go out and breathe any salty air and catch any sun. Keep on getting better. We have been worried. Prayers.

Hi Hensylee - Actually I got out to the park for a little bit and walked around the first day. The rest of the time I was pretty much on the sofa in the condo watching the surf and reading and/or sleeping. I didn't know pneumonia could knock you on your behind so badly. I'm starting to feel a little better but still sleeping a bunch and weak as a kitten. I barely ate anything for two weeks - just didn't taste good. Hope you get a little warmer weather soon, the whole country is in the freezer. Chris
