Cause of Aortic Insufficiency?

Hi,

My question will probably sound naive, but I've noticed that many of our members in the community w/ AVR's have had complications of the aorta. Is this usually the cause of Aortic Insufficiency (AI), too?

Should I expect to know the cause of my leak after the angiogram next month? Is this the "gold standard" for discovering what cause AI?
