Hello all,

I went to a relative who is a cardiologist and told him that on occasion I get rapid heart beats. I mentioned this in a previous thread and some replies I got (thank you for the feedback, by the way) mentioned that maybe the 5mg of Vasotec I take may have something to do with it. When I asked him about it he said it is quite possible and gave me some samples of 6.25 mg of Carvedilol.

My new question is, Does anybody out there currently take this? Do you like the results? Any major side effects?

As before, thank you for your feedback and understanding. It is greatly appreciated.

John

Hi John....

Hi John....

I am your age, and I am on Coreg 12.5 twice daily, and I was having dizzy spells because of my Zestril, which is a high blood pressure/heart failure medicine like vasotec. You might want to ask your doctor about the possibility of the two drugs giving you the palps. Once the doctor found out that it was the Zestril/Coreg combination that was causing my dizzy spells, he switched me to Diovan and I have been ok since...Just a thought that you might want to ask your doctor about, although this may not be the case. I hope this does help resolve your symptoms though...Take Care, Harrybaby666 :D :D :D

Several years ago my cardiologist put me on Coreg to "protect" my heart. After doing research, I decided not to stay on it, and I stopped it after a few months. It did not seem to be appropriate for my situation. I have since changed cardiologists. At that time, I also posted a ? on this forum to ask if anyone else had used it.
