Cardiac Monitor and Medication Update

Hi everyone, I am really sorry I have taken so long to post an update and missed talking to all of you so much in the last month and 3/4's I havent been on here. I havent posted in awhile because I moved and havent set up my computer anbd then college classes started anbd I started a new job.. very hectic.

Anyways so here is what has been going on. I got the event monitor off the 5th of sept and got results back about a week later. Pretty much just said that I was still running episodes of tachycardia that the b-blocker wasnt controlling. My family dr. and my NP decided to try upping the b-blocker so then htey took it from 12.5mgs to 15mgs. I originally started out at 2.5mgs for 2 weeks back in April then t 5mgs after 2wks then in May up to 7.5mgs where I stayed until July when my NP put me on Effexor XR for Anxiety secondary to tachycardia and upped BB to 12.5mgs. Just this last mondsay I seen my NP back home to go over everything and to get my records sent to my new dr. closer to my apt. Anyways she upped the Bisoprolol to 20mgs (10 at night 10 in am) which seems to really have made a new difference and I feel ok so far. I see my new MD on the 24th of OCT. to evaluate how meds are doing. I will stay with my internist atleast through my next heart valve/tachycardia eval in March/spring and then probably find a cardiologist closer to my apt. and school.
So now I am on Bisoprolol 20mgs, Effexor XR 75mgs, Necon OCP, and Allegra-D for allergies 2x a day. I hope everyone else is staying well and I will try and stay around on the board much more often now. Hugs to All, Erica

Thanks for the update Erica. I often wondered what happened to you. Sounds like things are going your way now. Keep us posted and good luck. ;)
