Great news that the arteries are clean. Be sure to let us know the date so we can add you to the calendar. Good luck on Friday, Donna!

They "went in" thru your arm...wow!...you are lucky , I think most of us got a "through the groin crease" entry. You would think an arm entry is easier and closer to where they are aiming hey!?

Good to hear you are all clear in the arteries department.

They went through my left arm cause I have so much scar tissue from previous arterial grafts i had a fem fem bypass when I was 24 yrs old from a massive blood clot in the iliac artery..I guess it was ok it really didnt hurt much but my arm is the circumference of a soft ball lol.all in all not too bad and i was pretty doped up anyway :p
thanks all

Thanks for that followup/explanation. I think I've only had three caths but for the second and third they said they might go in my arm but didn't end up doing that, which was fine with me; and I have wondered why but never asked. I think going up the groin is likely easier, in that it is closer to straight.

Glad you got a good report with the cath and hope all goes well with your surgery; take care.

Good to hear you got good news with clean arteries. I had my cath last week and was happy to hear the same news. Phew.....no bypasses needed. Good luck with your TEE. I had that two weeks ago and didn't mind it at all.
It went really easily for me.....no sore throat and I hardly remember much of what they did which is more than fine with me.

I also was pretty doped up for my cath but I remember more about that....though not all of it.

Good luck.
