CANADIANS AND LISTERIOSIS (Maple Leaf)

Last i heard theres 15 deaths due to recall of meats for
Maple Leaf pkg'ed meats.in Canada due to listeriosis.
I went shopping prior to 2nd recall and boy with the upc
codes the poo codes and upc/scc codes my fridge had
afew things in which you can take back for exchange,I
chose to chuck out,but not sure how to dispose properly
of these recalls,you don't wanna even dispose to garbage
so took items back and feel so sick over whats amounted
i refused any kind of exchange even for any type of brand
It's getting scarey with food i can sure see the problems arising
They arenot gonna ever find where this bacteria was started

I feel one day they may come up with a pill form like a vitamin
and we no longer will have to worry bout eating we can all swallow
a pill......just a thought!!!!!

I'm wondering about the cause of the contamination....Maple Leaf is such a reputable company. This is sad.
Well, a couple of years ago we stopped buying cold cuts and processed meats anyway, I find that they contain too much sodium and chemicals.

We'll probably never know. As I understand it, they started the clean-up so quickly to sanitize the entire facility, they literally wiped out any way of tracking down the precise contaminated area.
