Can Mitral Valve Stenosis cause Chest Pain?

If so, is it constant or can it come and go
(i.e. be there at low level (2 or 3 on a scale of 10)
for a few hours, especially when waking up,
then go away for several hours later in the day)?

I think they should add "Radiation Damage" from Cancer Treatments as another possible cause of Mitral (and Aortic) Valve Stenosis.

Thanks for the link Nancy. I have MVP and have frequent episodes of chest pain. Interesting that the reference lists that as a common symptom of MVP. I used to go to the ER when I had it but although they took me seriously each time I was assured that everything was OK. My chest pain comes and goes and is often worse first thing in the morning. Not a nice thing to have though Good luck with it all Al.
