My wonderful 22-yr-old son collected every Calvin and Hobbes book we could find. He's in USCG now, far from home (but safe!) and his baby sister, 12, is often found with the pile of C&H books, Jonas Bros cranking in her little headset, blissfully perusing the antics of that snarky little boy and his stuffed tiger.
Yes. I wish we were still getting fresh tidbits from Mr. Watterson. Several dog-eared books sit under our coffee table. When our middle child (now 24) was in 2nd grade and not willing to learn to read books, his teacher and I got together and he was allowed to learn to read with Calvin and Hobbes books. Of my 3, he is the one with the deepest and quickest understanding of things. I'm sure I owe a lot to this wonderful cartoonist.
