ACT in correct range for years (never lower than 2.5 sometimes a little higher).

Should this cause concern and be followed up?

If you suspect you have suffered a TIA, by all means you should be checked out. Please call your doctor.....don't fool around with this.

Are you sure it was a TIA? Were you dizzy or light-headed? How long did it last?

Was it double vision or did you feel like your eyes were crossed.

I have weak muscles in my right eye and periodically bright light, or other strange things will cause the right eye to cross a little and cause double vision. My eyes don't look crossed, but I can feel the slight pull of the muscle.

Just a thought. If you feel it was a TIA then you should call your doctor.

I do that from time to time. I don't think it's a TIA, but when in doubt, get checked out.

I get that too every now & then. My doc told me to close one eye when it happens - if the double vision is still there then get it checked out - if not, don't worry about it. Repeat with other eye. Every time it's happened to me & I try the one eye bit - it's gone. FYI, after a couple of right eye, left eye, it goes away within a few seconds.

But, this is my own experience - you might want to get advice from your own dr.

I really want to know also what causes this...I get it at random times ...sometimes 3 or more times in one day sometimes nothing for 3 days or 3 weeks.....I have never been able to put it down to anything. At the same time I will often get a distinct metallic taste and grab for the wall as if I am falling over but am completely steady on my feet...I have managed to take my BP during an "episode" once and it was at the low end of normal and my pulse was fine.

I wish one of us could get this mystery solved.:)

I get this occasionally as well. The doctor told me years ago that it was probably very tiny clots and as long as it goes away in less than 15 minutes, to not worry about it.

Whenever I get ANY kind of unusual 'visual disturbance', I chew a full 325 mg Aspirin. My Cardiologist said "that's probably a good idea".

Thanks every one for you input.

Yes, definitely double vision lasting for about 10-15 mins. Also googled for TIA--very interesting. Have an appointment with my PCP.

Once again, thanks all.

Sandra

This is true. That's what happens when mine occurs. This means it's "lazy" eye muscle.
