Bovine Valve?????

Does anyone here have a Carpentier-Edwards bovine valve? If so, I would like to hear from you. I had my surgery in July 2000, and shortly after it was discovered that my new valve leaks. My new Dr said he thought it was defective. I would like to talk to anyone who might have input.

My bovine aortic valve from them is a model number 2700.
I have no known problem.

I just got my first aortic valve replacement on February 3, 2003 with a model 2800 Carpentier-Edwards bovine valve. So far, I've had no problems with it.

Hi Renee,
I received a Edwards Lifesciences bovine pericardial heart valve, Model 2700, Aortic, 25 mm, on April 12, 2002. I believe that this is the same as the Carpentier-Edwards valve, i.e., that the company changed names sometime between 2000 and 2003.
No know problems at this point. Feeling fine. I was at Cleveland Clind for my one year evaluation this month but have not received my report yet.
