Great pictures Karlynn! Beautiful daughter and yummy husband. I hope you indulged in all that wonderful French cuisine!

I carbohydrated my way through Paris.
But the walking helped equalize that, so I only added a few pounds that will hopefully come off easily. I LOVE creme brulee, so I had that just about every evening for dessert. We usually got up in the morning and headed out, usually stopping at a pattiserie to grab something. I usually grabbed a pain au chocolat.
One of the great things about our trip is that we met the soldier we have been writing to for a year, who was in Iraq. He is stationed in Germany and just got back about 3 weeks ago, so he was wonderful enough to drive about 5 hours to have dinner with us. It was like meeting my long lost little brother. I must have hugged him about 2 dozen times and we talked the night away.
Anne - we saw lots of nekid stone people. I'm finally beginning to understand why my husband loved the sculptures.
Janie - be sure and take a river cruise at night. It is so lovely. My favorite place was the Eiffel Tower, which we saw for the first time at night. After dark, the tower has millions of lights on it that flash for a bit on the hour, like a Christmas tree. I guess they did it for the Millenium celebration and people asked them to keep it. I loved Musee D'Orsay, which is just across the river from the Louvre. It has the impressionists' work in it. And of course we saw Mona at the Louvre. We really wanted to get to Giverny, where Monet did many of his paintings, but we ran out of time.
Shelby's boyfriend took this picture of us. It may look like I'm standing in a hole, but I'm not. The Amazon to my left is God's little payback for me, for always teasing my Mother about being short. I'm just about 5'9" I used to walk up and rest my chin on the top of my Mom's head. Now my daughter does the same to me.
