I'm not sure under which classification I should place this post, but here goes:
Jerry has been doing fine for over 2 years now with stable INR for the most part, etc. His latest test on Monday was 2.3 and they kept him at the same dosage.
A bout of stomach virus swept through our family this week--the 18-hour variety. It wasn't possible for Jerry to take his warfarin at the usual time so he took it about 12 hours later, then spaced the next one about 16 hours after that in order to get it all in.
Anyway, anytime Jerry vomits or sneezes it is VIOLENT! A couple of days after the vomiting he tells me that he was driving and had a sneezing spell after which he had blurred vision for about 5 minutes. He just pulled over and waited for it to clear. What's this all about? We do have an acquaintance who is in a wheelchair because of a stroke suffered during a sneeze. The guy was in his 40's at the time.
Any thoughts about this episode? He seems OK now. Could it have been a TIA?
