? twice yesterday I got this sort of rush. It went from the back of my neck all the way up and into my eyes. It left me felling out of sorts and somewhat dazed. It took me about what seemed like 15 or more minutes to get my vision back to were it was not blurry. Would this be a blood pressure issue? Although I have not had a problem with my blood pressure. That is the only thing I could think of or maybe a mini stroke. I did have a stroke this summer so I am worried of having another.

do you have a pacemaker or difibulater for your wpw if not it probaly has to do with the tachycardia rates also you can become orthastatic, the drs thought wpw is what was causing all my rythem problems and fainting episodes and really i dont know if they even gave it a diagnose put in pacemaker and had complete heart block.another thing that can make you feel that way is dehydration and low blood pressure.if you feel something isnt right i would think it best to call your cardio nurse or family dr for advice dont let it go you have a history of stroke.i pray you get to feeling better soon

You should have gone to the ER with that problem. It sounds very much like a TIA (transient ischemic attack), which is a tiny blood clot which travels through the brain causing temporary problems like what you have described, and doing only temporary damage. The problem is that it can be a warning sign of an impending stroke. Not to scare you, but you really have to call your cardiologist tomorrow morning first thing, without fail and tell him about this.

If any more episodes like this happen or if you feel funny in any way at all, get yourself to the ER without any hesitation.

Joe has had about 16 TIAs. He has had all types. He hasn't had any overt lingering problems. But there is some thinking that if they continue, there can be a cumulative effect.

Take care.

Thanks

Thanks

No, no pacemaker yet...they say they are gonna go in and try to kill of the extra chamber in my heart that causes all the extra beats. That is suppose to before the valve job...so before Jan. I feel if it happens again I will call the doctor. Although getting one to call me back is another problem in itself. My nurse might would call she usually calls me back withing 1 to 2 days unless it is friday then it will be monday or tuesday before I hear from her.
I am thinking it may have been the flaming hot cheetoes I ate cause it wasn't long after that it happened. I have not been told to restrict my salt or any fats or foods. So I am trying to eat better but I still get those cravings for something salty quite often.

When I was on Lotensin (an ace-inhibitor) I had several episodes of blurry, double vision (even triple vision) and naseau> It was very scary. Turned out my blood pressure was 90/25 !!! Very dangerous indeed. I don't really know about youre current situation, but definitely get your blood pressure checked, it may be very low. (though more likely, the problem is whatever Nancy said );)
good luck and don't wait to call the doc

I've had a problem with double vision, and dizziness that just occurs suddenly and last for approximately 1 to 5 minutes. I went to an eye doctor to ask about it (like 10 years ago) and he said that it was tired eyes. One eye just has to move the tiniest bit to throw your vision for a loop.

I don't know if I agree with that now. Since I've had my Valvuloplasty, I haven't gotten it as often as I used to. I don't know if theres a connection there or not.
