I was shopping this afternoon when a guy came up to me and said, "Hey Al, do you remember my Dad". It took a few seconds to make the association but I did. "That warfarin saved his life", he continued.

"You mean when he had his stroke?', I asked.

"No after you retired. He had some bleeding when he had a bowel movement. The doctor stopped his warfarin and scoped him. They found a tiny little spot of colon cancer and removed it. He is doing well now."

This is the third time I have known someone that had this happen.

When I first saw this Subject Line with the Famous "AL Lodwick" signature line, I envisioned you inside a shop with a Barber Pole at the door, holding a Straight Razor :)))

You led me to this site originally when you answered a question re Lovenox.
Thanks for the answer and leading me here-Dina
(Now off Lovenox and Coumadin:D)

No, they used leeches on Geo. Washington.
Yes, and gave him garlic and ginger for anti-coagulation.
Though I think by the 1700's they were using the 'fleam' to bleed
patients........
Maybe Ive read too many historical novels:eek:

I've also been happy to see our favorite rat poison expert around here more!

I've missed you guys, too.

Speaking of rat poison --
WhenI was giving my seminars a few months ago, the person int the next room was speaking on autism. It was from the same company that I work with so you couldn't tell if the attendees were in the right place by the look of the brochure. I came up with a plan for separating them. I told my registration assistant to ask if they were here for the rat poison class. If they laugh, sign them up. If they have a blank stare on their face, send them to autism.
