Been dealing with insurance company

finally has closed my short term disabilty(1 long month w/o payments) and are starting the long term disabity reveiw and I should know within 10 days if aprroved or not..means a big check for the month is on the way and longterm shouldnt be a problem....according to my human resource pal....if you are this far it gets easier....not worrying about food and meds takes a lot of stress off this old wolf.... it was getting quite scary around here.... maybe I will have a birthday after all..I was going to cancel it ..have missed everyone , but was tooo depressed to be on line.. still cant sleep but an hour or so w/o waking.. this is with meds in me ..lol love yaps

Stupid question, but why the lapse from short to long term? The company I worked for rolled from one straight into the other.

I hope things are going better and your able to get more than a measly 1 hour of sleep....if it's any consolation, even though I "unofficially" heard about my ssdi, I still haven't received the official notification, so I know what your going through with this waiting period. this is my std&ltd through my restuarant... have filed for ss, and am waiting on that as well.
Im releived they approved me ..but sad as well, havent really stopped crying as I remeber my grandmother doing this, applied for ss (emphysema).she died one month after she received her retroactive check.
I think Im sad as I realise ;this is bad..would much rather be working..enjoying my job , the people and customers. I am dismayed it came to this. I need to get off now, I do not wish to be morbid. love yaps

Reliance standard..they have given full approval for std, she said she would have an answer on ltd in 5-10 days,,they have all my records from cardiology and hospitals,our human resource rep said it should be ok, that if std went through ltd should just slide? Any one know if this is standard?
Lol its kind of funny my boss just called me to wish me a happy birthday... I thought that was sweet... love yaps

Good luck on SS. It is harder to get knowadays. I had a temp suggest it to me while I am more than able to still work. I wished I had told her off and said that there are those who can't work, not able to get it without it. I just told her that because I am still able to work, no SS disability. I wish you a lot of luck that you will no be turned down. If you do, repeal and get your doctors together for the hearing. One of my cousins did not, and the judge asked him if that my cousin would quit working the odds jobs, he could get disability, but he kept it up. There are people who need it, are not on it. My mother was on it, RA, for years, before it was harder to get on. As I said, good luck. Be strong and you will get it. Keep everything handy. And things will work out.
