I just wanted to share that it is a BEAUTIFUL day here in Texas today! :D This afternoon my hubby and I are supposed to go to a bar-b-q party at the home of one of his classmates (remember, he's going to nursing school? He told everyone to bring their stethescopes. ;) ) and the weather is just perfect for it. Tomorrow we are having friends over to grill out and then go to a movie (The Incredibles). I'm in a very good mood this weekend... Despite hearing back from the cardiologist that there's nothing more she can do about my chest pain, since all the tests are coming back "normal." I'm sitting here in minor pain, but smiling because at least I'm here to feel it. I've been depressed for quite some time because of the news I received about transplant, but I think I may finally be coming out of it. :D Guess all I needed was some time.

Now if I could just concentrate on doing homework instead of checking in here every two minutes... ;)

I just want to send a big cyber hug out to everyone. You're all such a wonderful part of my life and I don't know what I'd do without you. Thanks for being here every day for my ups and downs. Today is an up, uP, UP! :D You are all in my prayers. God bless!

Beautiful Day

Beautiful Day

It is also a beautiful day here in NE TEXAS. I am 15 days post op and feeling great--just came in from my morning walk--saw two deer. I am also planning to cook out tomorrow--grilled pork chops. Sorry to hear that you have been depressed. I hope that you continually keep feeling better and your spirits stay upbeat.
You know what they say about heavy burdens. God won't give us a burden that is too heavy to carry, I just wish he didn't trust me so much sometimes.

God Bless and keep the faith,

Bobby

I'm right there with you! :D One of my many times in the hospital, one of my nurses said "Boy, you must be really strong for God to give you all of that!" :D Sometimes I don't feel strong enough. But somehow He always pulls me through. And the funny thing is, it was by pulling my husband out of a funk that he was in yesterday that got me into such a great mood. Just goes to show that helping others is helping yourself... :D

I'm glad to hear you're doing so well after your surgery. I'm sorry I missed you in the hospital, but didn't want to risk giving you my bug. Next time your in the Dallas area, we'll have to get together and compare stories. It will be another excuse to get the DFW gang together! :D

Feeling...Once Again

Feeling...Once Again

Beautiful in Oklahoma as well. Ran 4 miles this morning, kicking through the leaves...Wish this was the extent of Winter.

Missouri

Missouri

It's a beautiful day in Missouri too. Is this getting us ready for winter? One last fling before the cold bad weather starts. With it being so warm and pretty outside I finally got all my cana bulbs, elephant ears pulled up and now they are drying out to get ready for storage under the house for winter. I bought some more tulips to plant tomorrow. We've had so much rain that our pond is over flowing but it is so pretty. Every morning we have had about five to six deer down at the pond getting a drink. I sure wish I could keep them in the field. I hate to think about them getting shot. Oh well, I know it has to be or they would take over.

Ditto in southern Ohio. I guess it's to tide us over once we are in the dead of winter. I just moved back to Ohio from the Los Angeles area and I am dreading winter again after 5 years in sunshine almost year round. The gray skies we have in Ohio all winter are so depressing - it is something I remember well. I think I will get me one of those lamps that simulate sunshine. I was NEVER depressed in the winter in California (unless it was about traffic and a few other things that are too political to mention right now :)).
I ran around so much today that I am happy to be relaxing in front of my computer right now, getting ready to grill a roast.
Hope the rest of the country was as beautiful as Ohio & Texas.
Thanks, Niki, for taking the time to remind us to notice and express it as well as enjoy it personally.
Smiles, :)
Gina

It was great around Chicago as well around 65 degrees, we went west to Northern Illimois University to an annual Pow Wow gathering and had a picnic on the University grounds. The squirrels seemed to be out in numbers too -- probably operating on the same principle as us.

It was breezy and rather cool here, I think around the 40's or so, but it was nice and sunny and one of those cool days that I just love because I was out shooting soccer playoff's and, as happens every time I'm out shooting high school sports these days, I was reminded of how far I had come to enjoy such a day and be out doing the thing I LOVE to do.

:)

EVERY DAY since my OHS has been a beautiful day. People wonder why I smile and laugh so much. I thank God every day for my new valve.

Niki, it was a joy to read your post and feel your good mood.

It was chilly enough here in the Chicago area tonight to enjoy a wonderful hot tub at our neighbors tonight.

and tonight...

and tonight...

Not to leave the night out, check this out if you are a night owl ( like me ) or an early bird:

*grins*

You mean ya'll in NE TX had a beautiful day...even without me there? ;).

LOL!

Ah....as some have said already, it was a beautiful day in Chicagoland as well. So good, in fact, that I was able to get my older 4 "baby girls" out for a nice exercise...their first in about 4 weeks, as due to scheduling problems and weather "issues", I had not been able to get 'em out since I returned home over a week ago.

*sighs*

Can you believe it has been 4 (count 'em 4) weeks since that reunion in Golden CO?

My how time does fly...........

*sighs*

If only I had a nice female to share some of this time with......... ;)

Awesome heavens!

Awesome heavens!

Thanks, Burair.

I was driving out at 5 am to a volleyball tournament with my daughter on Saturday morning and we noticed the odd lights. One was so bright we thought at first it must be an aiplane. I decided it must be a planet, but 2!! How amazing.

We have had sparkling good weather here in the NW as well.

Niki, so glad to hear you on the up side of an understandable ebb and flow. Keep the spirits up!! Hope you feel better, too!

Marguerite

Hey Niki, great to hear you sounding so upbeat. Nothing like a beautiful day and a barbie with good friends to make you smile.

Best wishes
Anna : )

Yes, it was a gorgeous weekend..........

Yes, it was a gorgeous weekend..........

and it is soooooooooooo good to hear you sounding so upbeat and so positive. :D

I apologize. I have been out of the loop for a few days (end of the trimester..........ugh!), but I was really hoping that you had gotten some answers to explain your pain. Maybe the electrophysiologist will provide some insight. Regardless, I can't tell you how good it is to read your post. I do hope that your plans today turned out just as well. Trip went to The Incredibles today, too, by the way.

I can't tell you how wonderful it makes me feel to read your post, and I do hope that your deep funky fog has completely dissipated. Good luck Tuesday night! Then get that project done and continue to relax and enjoy life. Much love, many hugs, and always in our prayers.

The weekend went very well. Now for my VERY busy two days... ;) I can't wait for them to be over. The nice thing is, my electrophysiologist appt. is the day after the show, which means I get to sleep in the next day (the bad part is that I have to work on sub plans in the middle of all the other stuff).

I probably won't be online much the next couple of days, but I'll be sure to update you all when I get back from the electro. I've been preparing a list of questions to take with me. So far I have 10. :D

Hope you're all doing well!
