Baseball fans know Bob Uecker as a witty broadcaster who has accentuated the fun in the game. His line describing one of "The Wild Thing's" pitches in the movie "Major League" is a classic: "JUST a little bit outside" (as the ball sailed to the backstop).
Looks like Bob has just had the same surgery I had 5 years ago -- replacement of aortic valve and root, except that I didn't have to have the bypass. Yep, it is a complex surgery, but there are great surgeons who do it well.

And he is "just a little bit older" than I am. The report of good success with his surgery is also good news for we old codgers -- moral: stay in good shape, and if you need this surgery well into your senior years, it's doable.
Sending best wishes and prayers to Bob U. for a continued smooth recovery and a return to broadcasting.
