Last week I banged my head on the corner of my carboot, it was hard but I didn't break the skin nor did I get a visible bump or bruise. However, since then I have had mild discomfort from other areas of my head, nowhere near the part I banged. I am wondering if this discomfort (it isn't pain, just slightly tender) is psychosomatic or could I be seeping very slowly? I will be going to the hospital for my INR check next week and will mention it to them.

Thoughts?

When in doubt, get checked out.

I wrapped mine good enough to cause a bleeding on the outside and a nice bump to go with it, but turned out fine otherwise.

Since I would be going to the hospital about Tuesday for my INR check I was going to leave it then when I woke up this morning I had a large yellow (as in old looking) bruise on my forehead, about four or five inches from where I banged my head. I telephoned A&E and told them what had happened and they said to get myself along to see them.

I saw the triage nurse shortly after arriving, well about half an hour after, and he said I ought to be checked by a doctor so I had to sit and wait - there was a three hour delay for 'non-urgent' cases. I was seen by a doctor who said the bruising was consistent with an eight day old bruise and he thought all was ok. I asked what I should do in future if I hit my head and he said to get checked out by them, so he didn't think I was wasting their time.
