well i went back to work this week. just 8 weeks after they put the pacemaker in and 9 weeks after the valve. I am a little sore this weekend but not nearly as sore as what i was expecting. About the only thing that i noticed this week is when it gets too hot and humid in the factory then i need to take some extra breaks to get some air. but other than that it went well. all of my bosses at my job ask me how i am doing and my direct boss will come out and tell me he thinks i should take a break. but i just tell him that if i feel that i need a break than i will take one. i guess i just didn't really expect them to be like that. because they always come across that they don't care about anything but their numbers. But then i go in and do my job and don't create any waves either and try to get along with everyone. It is hard to say what they would be like with other people that do cause problems. A year or two ago my friend was off on sick leave with the company and came back then had to leave again because of a back problem and they later called her and told her that she either had to quit or that they would fire her. so it is not uncommon for them to be harsh on people. I am just glad that the transition back to work so far as been alright except for them putting me on day shift which means i have to get up at 5 a.m. (i am not a morning person). but it was only for one week and on monday i go back on my afternoon shift which has been the shift that i have always worked so i can get back into my pattern. i've been tired this week but i think it is because of getting up so early. the stiffness will pass once my body gets used to working again. hopefully it will only take a couple of weeks but so far it has been manageable. other than that things have been uneventful and i am glad to be able to be back to work and get some normality back in my life. best wishes to all as everyone's journey continues.
