This flu is kicking our butts. Me, my husband and 3 of our kids all had it at the same time. I wasn't even done with my nasty cold yet. I couldn't hold down any of my meds and was very crampy all over. Couldn't even hold water. So my Primary Dr. told me to go to the ER. They gave me 2 bags of fluids and 2 doses of anti nasua meds. My heart rate was high (103) my normal resting heart rate is between 60-65 and my BP was on the low side(90/55). That eventually came back up a little. Since I have home and taking the anti nasua meds I have been able to keep my meds down. Ate one piece of toast in 3 days. my heart rate is back to normal now that i can hold my meds down.

You'd think living in Wisconsin all these viruses would freeze.

I'm sorry to read that you've dealt with this. It seems to be rampant in our area too. Recover quickly and get your strength back up!:)

What a miserable time you've had! I hope you have turned the corner and that you'll get better fast. It's tough when the whole family is sick. BLAH!

Take care,

Dale

Im really sorry to read about you all, I hope you are all on the road to recovery.
Hope you all feel better soon.
Take care, thinking of you all

Here in the south it is running rampant also. We have had lots of people out where I work. I am trying very hard not to take anything home to Hubby who is the one who had AVR over 7 years ago.

Heck they've shut down some schools for a few days to let everyone recover and try to sanitize the schools to prevent further illness. It's definately getting around.

Laura, That is horrible! I have a friend whose 4 year old has it now. It is so nasty it is scary. I hope you are all better soon. Brian

Be nice if they'd shut down my school for a few days...hey, wait, spring break is coming! :D

Laura, so sorry to hear about your troubles with the flu. Do you get a flu shot? My cardio threatens to send me to another doctor :p if I don't get one every year. I know that despite the vaccination, you can still get the flu--I had a horrible bout of it six years ago.

Hope you start to feel better soon and you can get that surgery out of the way! :D

Best,
Debi (debster913)

OMGoodness what a horrible experience. Please take care of yourself.

(I'm going to hear Ross yell at me on this but) The only time I've had a flu shot was the year my granddaughter was born and we were asked to by her pediatrician. I got the flu 3 times that year. I hadn't had the flu since my MVR prior to that, and I haven't had the flu in the 2 years since it. I realize it probably is dumb luck - I'm just sayin'.....
