Hi guys, hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.

I had my heart cath today. NO BLOCKAGE!! Which is what I told them all along. However, my new valve is regurging and leaking. Cardio doc said he was very surprized at how much, yet he wants to wait 6 months and do another echo (without stress test) and if it shows additional leakage he wants to do the trasesophageal thing. He has stated my fatigue, breathlessness and other symptoms are not the result of the malfunctioning aorta, I say bull hockey!! These are the same symptoms I had before. He says I need to push the excersing, OH MY GOD!! I was doing that 6 months ago, I can't push it, I pass out. I am calling the surgeon who did my surgery in the morning. I want and need explanations as to why I have regurg/AI again. This valve is a month away from being 1 year old, symptoms are worse than before and I am concerned and frustrated.

While that isn't good news, I hear ya. I'd be on the horn too! I'll even side with you on the symptoms.

Sorry it's all coming down to this all over again, but get the needed answers and decide what to do from there.

I agree as well, I'd be calling the person who implanted the valve to ask him or her WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?!?

Good news on the no blockage (silver lining)! :)

Sorry to hear your bad news - although the "no blockage" notation is sweet. Good approach, calling the surgeon. I agree.

As far as your cardiologist...ehh? What planet is he from? Did he give the regurgitation a number rating, or just say he's surprised at how much?

Best wishes,
