cpt228:
My husband has been on Coumadin and aspirin for the past 5 years since he had a stroke. The aspirin does affect the platelets and that is compliamentary to the Coumadin/Warfarin.

Kind regards,
Blanche

I've been on both for almost four years without any major bleeds. Coumadin affects the coagulation time, Aspirin makes the platelets a little more slippery so it also affects coagulation, but the aspirin effects will not show up on an INR test.
