Just got my on-x valve two days ago. And now my whole body does a slight twitch with every beat of the valve. Is this common or do i have a neurological disorder?

Hi

Firstly congratulations on successful surgery :)

if you mean that you can now see your pulse influence (say) your hand when holding it steady, or that you see your self move slightly with each heart beat, then no.

Welcome to your new hydraulic experience :)

Back with my mushy valve I could hold a camera steady down to 1/8th of a sec , since getting my mechanical valve I have the same problems as the rest of humanity with pulse induced camera shake.

Indeed out on the rifle range I now know why the top shooters have always talked about timing my shots to heart beats ... it does make a difference.

So like putting new tyres on your car you notice the new ones are quite different to the old ones.

As you recover from surgery you will likely find all sorts of other things, like the new valve let's you increase your fitness like never before. 2 years after my surgery I was at fitness levels I had not seen since 15 years before.

Best wishes

Not sure about you, but for me right after surgery my heart didn't just beat, it would pound! Everything should calm down quite a bit with time. Congratulations!
