I want to wish you both successful replacements and uncomplicated recoveries.
Godspeed and God Bless,

Yes! Wishing you both the very best!!

Kristy. Sorry you didn't post more than the one time, as your being so close to me, it would have been easy for me to lend a little more support. Hope you come back and let us know how it went for you. Wishing you all the best.

DerUddermeister. (well, I didn't see if you got back to us on that!! :D ) You've been great!! Have appreciated all of your pre-surgery questions and your strong spirit! Hope you got that motorcycle ride in last weekend! Stay positive. I'll be "mooing" along right behind you, next week! I hope I get to hear back about you before I go in! Take Care. Godspeed!

:) Marguerite

Thank you all for the good wishes! I am pretty optimistic at this point. Not looking forward to the first few days, but after that I hope to be well on the way to my old self!

Marguerite - I did get that ride in. Here is a report I did on another forum:

Virginia is the Dogwood State .... BUT it really ought to be the Redbud tree state.

You never saw anything of such magnificence as the spring show put on today (Sunday) by Ole Virginny with a perfectly cloudless blue sky and the prettiest sun you ever saw. I took 6 bikes on a 270 mile jaunt up to the mountains for a picnic lunch -- this being my last ride for a few months. I am so glad I got to see this splendor as I reluctantly came home (but still visually storing this away) and did some "winterizing" on the bike (full tank with Stabil, changed oil yesterday, and will hook up the battery tender). I've never had to do this kind of thing before -- interrupt a whole season for both riding and sailing, so I am kind of .... I guess melancholy would be the right word? But I wouldn't have missed this ride for the world. It'll just have to keep me satisfied for awhile.

If you live near to Virginia -- you really should head towards the mountains and take in this spectacular show SOON -- like within the next few days, before the blooms fade.

My very best wishes to both of you; hope we'll be hearing SOON how you've done (hint hint). You'll have lots of psychic company when you go to that operating room tomorrow - make room for us! ;)

Godspeed to you both. Looking forward to those after-surgery posts.

I show Kristy and Der Biermeister on der Mittwoch on the Calendar. Good fortune to you both. May your recoveries be plaintively boring.

DB, if anthing does go wrong for you, by now, you'll sure as heck know why!

Very best wishes,

GodSpeed to both Der and Kristy...

This stupid-time difference has crept up on me again...
By now you 2 should be in La-La-Land with lots of good-drugs and just about ready to sleepily greet your loved ones only to forget they even visited...

I will be checking in for post-OP reports when I get home today...

Hope your days are smooth-sailing
gentle healing hugs
God Bless

Amen to that Biermeister! I walk my dog along the Blue Ridge almost every day and the redbuds are absolutely glorious right now!

Yawl come to Ole Virginny and spend lots of moolah while you're here, you hear?

And Godspeed to you, Biermeister. We'll be sending lots of good vibes your way.....
