Automotive Commercials, old & 2011 + SB fact

Amongst taking pictures, snow shoveling, and a few other things done during the "Blizzard 2011 Snow Day" I had, Wednesday, February 2, 2011, I found myself watching old car ads online. It's not like I didn't have other things to do ... it was just a cool way to spend a part of the day. I noted a bunch of my favorites; the results are the links below.


At the end, I'm including a few 2011 Super Bowl commercials.... I had hoped my Dad's home-town Steelers would win, but the Green Bay Packers win includes one person that connects to the 1985 Chicago Bears, who won the 1986 Super Bowl 25 years ago ... Wayne Larrivee. Wayne was the "voice of the Bears" in that 1985 season and, 25 years later, he was the voice of the Packers for their win this year....

I don't know if you saw this, but I got an email from one of my CHD groups about the Darth Vader commercial

"I don't k now how many of you watched the super bowl last night, but one of the best commercials starred a little boy who has TOF as Darth Vader. The family is a member of California Heart Connection.

PS for anyone who doesn't know TOF stands for Tetralogy of Fallot it is one of the Congenital Heart defects (well 4) that cause "blue babies" so need surgery as babies. http://www.cincinnatichildrens.org/health/heart-encyclopedia/anomalies/tof.htm

Yep ... I heard about that. I was a bit disappointed that that wasn't made a bit more clear IN the commercial itself. But ... cool nonetheless!
