Hi, all--
Sorry for all the posts, I just have so many questions and it's great to hear from people who have gone through similar things with valves.

Anyway, I was talking to my mother earlier and she just happened to mention that yesterday after my angio my cardiologist went to talk to her and mentioned that depending on my symptoms, I actually might have adult-onset asthma. I might be tested for that, too, but he did say that my lungs looked fine during the angio.

One of my best friends has had asthma since she was a kid, and our symptoms barely correlate. Any thoughts on this?

TIA--

Well, of course, you could also have asthma along with your valve problems. However, if your card. is trying to blame everything on asthma, I'd have to wonder if you should see someone else. You have a KNOWN valve problem. It may or not may be bad enough to get surgery. You are symptomatic. You'll only know this after you get a TEE to verify things. If I were you, I'd INSIST on getting copies of your TEE report, and I mean the official one.

Don't allow someone to cloud or confuse the issues.

Have your asthma checked out with your primary care physician, so you and the primary will know what's what. Leave the heart issues to the card. You don't want him to get confused
