Artificial Heart Valve Patients

My name is Matt, I'm 28 yrs old and have had an artificial valve for about 11 months. I doing research on lifestyle changes a heartvalve patient goes through, particularly older patients that have had an artificial valve for a long period of time, but I would love to have imput from any one. Just a breif history of things that have changed, if anything. Physical strength, career changes, how coumadin has effected life, doctors vistits? Any info would be greatly appretiated. Welcome to the site. This site is jam-packed full of any and all the information you will ever need. You will just have to read through as many posts as you can, and it will take a long time. Start out on the main page with the Personal Stories, and then go to Pre-Surgery, and then Post-Surgery and then the Heart Forum, and then the Coumadin forum. Make sure you go to the bottom of the page and change the selection from "last 30 days" to "from the beginning". So many posts will pop up, you won't believe it.

This is a very active board with many members.
