June marks my 2nd year since OHS to "repair" my leaking valve... I'm noticing more and more getting tired when I am driving... I just had an echo & awaiting results fom that.

Overall, I feel better, but seems like something is missing.. I'm hoping that I can hold off at least 2 more years before having the valve replaced.

Sorry to hear your having difficulties. Some of us just do. I made it 7 years before mine had to be replaced, but by then, the damage was done and now, I'm screwed up for life.

Harry, you are wise to have the echo. If a surgeon recommends a replacement don't wait too long to have it done. I stalled for years until I almost dropped dead.....then I had a very good surgery, but have not "bounced back" at all. I am very limited.

Sorry, too, that you are having trouble. I had my MV repaired then had to be replaced 7 months later. There is never a good time, is there? But if you do need the replacement soon, you will hopefully be on the way to feeling good again. Good luck to you.

Never had valve repair, right into replacement for me. Have bounced back pretty good. If replacement is recommended, go for it. Only drawback so far is the warfarin, but what can you say??
