My son's Bearded Dragon, who is called Dragon. Is great, he is fine when i get him out of his tank. I can hold him and stroke him but if he happens to get of my knee onto the couch. He starts to stress out, it took me ten minutes to calm him down:( and had to put a towel over him . He is very happy right now back in his tank and is having his dinner. Anyone have any tips how to keep him calmer. Thanks.

Thanks Ross great sight, added it to my favourites will join up later.
This is Dragon when we got him in November, he cost us £30 less because he as a nip tail :D

Bearded dragons aren't all that large, used to have 2 of them a few years back. Don't know what to tell you on the being stressed out deal as mine were always very calm. I could hold them & play with them for hrs & they seemed to enjoy it.

I am the one who got stressed out over semi daily trips to the pet store for crickets & mealworms. Plus one time they ended up having about 20 eggs. My sister ran a pet store at the time & she actually managed to get 4 of the eggs to hatch. So cute whne they are tiny lil hatchings.

Ye he goes through some crickets but loves his salad too. I watched some hatch on you tube, really cute.

Dragon is looking very happy and healthy.
Sometimes when they seem nervous it could be that they are at the "puberty" age of maturity, or they could be aware of a sight or sound that you are not noticing.
My male Tiger Salamander was very "alert" in the spring time....and my male turtles are the same way. Frisky in spring.:)

Maybe Dragon needs a Dragonette?

I've never had a lizard for a pet, other than the anoles that we would catch in our yard and release within a few days. I see them at the store and think they are so cool, but am afraid that my dogs would bug them. My husband would probably kill me too!

I think that if I ran into one of these, you'd have to worry about keeping me calm --- throw a towel over my head!!! :D
