We've had greater than 10 inches of rain in the last 12 hours. I was up at 4:00 this morning with my dog who's scared of thunderstorms and it was hailing. The neighbors behind me were knocking the metal patio cover off their house because it was holding water and it was seeping into the house. School is closed for the day, which is major because this was supposed to be the first day of TAKS - the state assessment. I may go into work a little later, but for now I can't get to the freeway.

No thanks, we've got plenty:p . . . yes, Texas sent it our way!:D
Closing school at state assessment time speaks volumes to how bad a situation it must be.:(

We are about 3/4" behind so far this month. The rain this week should more then make up for it.

Good luck with all the water, and keep your basement dry! :)

No water here. Can you figure out a way to get the extra you have to us? We are now in strict water conservation. Can only water the grass/flowers on Mon. and Wed. We residential customers must stay under a pre-determined water usage chart or get charged more by the gallon. Of course the stupid politicians that cam up with this bright idea are not conserving:mad: Anyone know a good rain-maker we can rent??

Chris,
Youll have to ask Dennis about who to get to do a rain dance. He might know if someone Native American that still does the rain dance. You may want to hire him.

Here's one of the "better" pictures. Apparently they didn't notice the street sign or thought it was only 2 feet tall? Fortunately the patient and crew got out safe.

Well, we were under a burn ban just a few weeks ago until our previous flood, and I'm sure we'll be under another one by the middle of the summer. All of our rain comes about 5 days a year.
