Anyone have an On-x valve and on Plavix and aspirin?

Hey all,
Got my On-x valve 6 weeks ago and just found out that I met the first test to be part of the low risk group in the FDA clinical trial investigating the use of Plavix and aspirin. So the next step is to take Plavix for a week in addition to the Coumadin and then they will conduct blood work to see how I react to Plavix. Anyone on Plavix and aspirin? What has been your experience? Are you happy to be part of this trial? Trying to make the decision whether to remain part of the trial. Any advice?? I am a little scared...trying to decide what to do.

Are you taking the 81mg or the 325mg aspirin??

Right now I am taking 81mg. I don't know if that will change if I end up just being on Plavix

Still hoping that you all can help me as I have to make a decision whether or not to participate in the clinical trial and take Plavix.

Sorry I can't help you on this one. What is your gut telling you? Is this something that you are comfortable participating in? Hopefully, others will provide some feedback for you.

Cherie' If I recall correctly, there are a couple of members who are in on the Plavix side of the study. Do a seach and see who turns up.
