"The Fire Next Time," (1993, Craig T. Nelson, Bonnie Bedelia, Charles Haid)?

It's a sci-fi type movie, begins in Louisiana and moves up into Canada. About a family fleeing ecological disasters.

Very reminiscent of what's going on right now, what with global warming, increase in hurricanes, dwindling fuel ....

I've seen it 3 times. Long movie -- about 3 hours, I think. But well worth it!

No point coming North

There were long line-ups here too for gas yesterday. Rumour it would go to $2.00 per litre. I saw one station at $1.89 per litre. I purchased this morning for $1.01 a litre and most stations seem to be running about that price today. So, we're probably paying a little more than you are in the U.S.
