This is my first post. Rather than anything positive, i'm afraid i'm worrying!

I'm 12 days post op mechanical aortic valve replacement and ascending aorta graph, so obviously scared of coughing, sneezing, or anything else that jerks!

As I sit here this evening I feel those familiar symptoms telling me i'm getting a cold... nose that feels you need to blow it, slight sore throat, head in the clouds feeling.

Anybody got any advice what I should do?

Cheers :)
-Carl.

Zicam. Taken at the first sign of a cold, it can prevent it altogether or lessen the severity of the symptoms. It's always worked well for me and has almost always stopped a cold dead in its tracks. You need to take it NOW, at the first sign of a cold; waiting a day or two is too late. Have someone go to the pharmacy for you and get the regular formula, no plus (extra stuff that might conflict with meds you're taking). No, I don't work for them, and I do swear by this stuff working well. It's been years since I've had a cold.

Here's more info.

Anything without "plus" or "relief" on the label. They have additional meds that may conflict with any bp meds you may be taking.

Hi Carl! I don't have any better advice to give than has already been given, but wanted to welcome you to VR. I hope you stick around and let us know how your progress, and how your situation turns out!
