Another Year

It is another year since my surgery in 2001 (January 10). I guess I was one of the first people to find this site before I had my surgery. I needed help and was looking around aimlessly, when I saw Hank's posting on the Cleveland Clinic site, mentioning this site (that was August of 2000). So, I made this place home for the next six months and another four years. I had an aortic replacement with a homograft and a mitral repair by Dr Cosgrove of CCF. I still have not met him. So, thanks once again Hank, and all the rest of you who help.

Hey, Bill, congratulations! At the time of my surgery almost two years ago, I lived up near where you do, and you were among those who offered me much-appreciated encouragement as I headed off to Inova Fairfax. Had great care there. (I'm now resettled out in the Blue Ridge but have resumed working from home.) Just wanted to tell you thanks for that support back then, and that I've missed your comments on here recently. Hope you will post when you can.
